1 dead, 4 hurt in New York car accident

A 19-year-old lost her life following a serious crash in Clarence, according to local police. New York authorities have also reported that four other people were hurt in the car accident. Apparently the deceased woman was behind the wheel at the time of the crash, which is still under investigation at this time.

Police reports indicate that around 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 22, the teenager was driving on Tonawanda Creek Road. At this time, for reasons unknown, her vehicle crossed a lane of traffic and left the road. She struck a tree and a fence with enough force to pin her in the vehicle, where fire fighters needed to mechanically extricate her.

The driver later succumbed to her injuries. Her four passengers, none of whom have been identified, have been reported as injured. However, there does not appear to be any information available regarding their statuses or current conditions. The accident is still under investigation, but police have been relatively tight-lipped about its progress.

Too little information is currently available to determine why the 19-year-old lost control of her vehicle, causing the car accident. It is hoped that more information will surface during the course of the New York police investigation that may shed some light on this tragedy. However, even in the absence of any meaningful evidence at this time, the injured parties may still be entitled to file personal injury suits against her estate and anyone with ownership interest in the vehicle involved in the crash.
