14-year-old boy dies in New York bicycle accidents

With heavy amounts of traffic in certain areas, many individuals choose other means of transportation. Bicycles are a common choice of travel for residents in New York who seek to avoid congestion on the roads. Safety is often a major concern in this area, with many bicycle accidents involving automobiles ending in serious injury or worse. A recent accident under similar circumstances claimed the life of a 14-year-old boy.

The young boy was riding his bike when a car making a left turn at an intersection struck him. He was rushed to the hospital shortly after, where he was pronounced dead. Police have initiated an investigation into the accident, and the intersection in question has reportedly been the scene of similar occurrences in the past.
