Tyler Garvey
Tyler Garvey joined Kahn Gordon Timko & Rodriques as an associate attorney in 2020.
He graduated from the University at Buffalo School of Law with magna cum laude honors in 2017 and was admitted to practice before the New York Bar in 2018. During law school, Tyler clerked at a respected criminal defense firm focused on white collar federal criminal cases, and was selected by law school faculty to perform academic research on several topics pertaining to criminal law. Upon admission to the Bar, Tyler transitioned the focus of his legal practice to representing injured plaintiffs in civil litigation.
Tyler has experience representing clients in a wide variety of cases, including car collisions, negligent property maintenance, medical negligence, products liability, and other complex personal injury cases. A primary focus of Tyler’s early career has been the development of sophisticated legal research and writing skills. Tyler has authored several appellate briefs and complex motion memoranda, leading to multiple major victories for clients before State Supreme Courts and the Appellate Divisions for the Third and Fourth Departments.
At Kahn Gordon Timko & Rodriques, Tyler continues to zealously advocate on behalf of injured clients. Tyler focuses on the representation of individuals injured in vehicle collisions, and as a result of negligent property maintenance and medical malpractice.
Tyler is a native of East Aurora, New York and is a graduate of Hobart College, where he earned a dual degree in History and Media & Society and was a collegiate athlete with the Hobart Football team. In his free time, Tyler enjoys reading and hiking with his German Shepherd.
Tyler is a member of the American Association for Justice and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association.
